The Masters 2016: How many countries are represented?
Taking a look at the countries represented at the Masters.
The United States will lead the way with 40 entries in The Masters. Previous Winners Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson who have won the last two Masters will be in the field once again. Watson is a two-time victor of the tournament. Leftie Phil Mickelson who has won the tournament three times (2004, 2006, 2010) will also be in the field once more.
Tiger Woods will not be playing in this year’s Master’s Tournament, he is recovering from back surgery.
Rest of the field
This year, 26 players from Europe will be playing in the tournament. England leads the way with eight players. Northern Ireland will be represented by three players. Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden all will send two players each. Ireland, Austria, Denmark will send one player each.
Five players will hail from South Africa, including 2011 winner Charl Schwartzel.
China, India, Japan, South Korea will have one player each in the 2016 field. Thailand will lead the way for nations from Asia with two players. Australia will send five players to Augusta. 2013 Masters winner Adam Scott will lead the way for Australia.
