A look at how to watch the 2016 Florida Gators Spring Game, the Orange & Blue Debut, live stream online
The Florida Gators are undoubtedly one of the biggest and most recognizable programs in all of college football. Despite a few years of hardship, it seems that Jim McElwain has the Gators headed in an undeniably positive direction after surviving numerous issues throughout the year to win the SEC East and earn a berth in the Citrus Bowl—even if they lost in their bowl game and the SEC title game. Now it’s all about moving forward for the Gators, starting with their 2016 Spring Game on Friday, the Orange & Blue Debut.
For starters, it’s quite unique for McElwain to elect to hold the Florida spring game at the Swamp at night, but it should be an all the more enjoyable affair because of it was the heat shouldn’t be too bad and not as much of a factor with the players.
As for the players, all eyes are going to the be on the offense—specifically at the quarterback suspension. With Will Grier out of the program, the Gators are left looking for a replacement. While Luke Del Rio has been taking snaps throughout the spring with the first team, a graduate transfer in Austin Appleby or a couple of freshman could take his job.
There are certainly other storylines to watch on Friday night in Gainesville such as what Antonio Callaway will do as the unquestioned leader of the receiving core. However, all eyes at the Florida spring game will be on the quarterback and everything else is just, well, secondary.
