After a string of birdies to take a commanding The Masters lead, Jordan Spieth imploded at No. 12.

Jordan Spieth was cruising to his second-straight The Masters title on Sunday after a great front nine. Yet, things took a turn for the worst as he put the ball in the water twice at No. 12. Things went down hill as he sent his tee shot into the water hazard.

He elected to play way back in the drop zone after his first water shot. It didn’t go so well as he ended up not hiting the ball well. As a result, the shot ended up ending up with his first ball.

After getting bogeys at No. 10 and No. 11, Spieth still had a two-stroke lead. He looked to turn it around on No. 12, but it ended up as his worst hole of his maters career as he ended up with a quadruple bogey.

Danny Willett took the lead after -4 and one stroke ahead of Lee Westwood. Spieth’s +6 effort from holes 10-12 has taken him all the way down to -1 from -7. Spieth has some work to do if he can come back to win his second Masters.

There’s been some incredible golf from Spieth this week at Augusta. However, he will want to forget about his performance at No. 12 if he has any chance of making a comeback. Luckily, his putter has been on fire. He just has to make sure he can hit the greens in regulation and give himself as many birdie opportunities as possible.
