Even when it doesn’t count, Steph Curry continues to amaze.

Steph Curry is the rare type of player who never ceases to amaze no matter how many times he does something ridiculous. We may come to expect half-court shots from Curry, but that doesn’t make it any less amazing when he pulls it off. Everyone still lost their collective mind when he killed the Oklahoma City Thunder.

While his third-quarter buzzer beater against the Spurs didn’t count, it was still one of his best moments of the season, especially given the magnitude of the game.

Despite how deep the Golden State Warriors may be, their offense is still primarily dictated by Steph. Whenever he struggles, his team struggles, which is why they lost their two home games and barely squeaked by the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Warriors may be locked in a tight contest with the Spurs, but Steph is back to his free-scoring ways, having gone off for 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting so far. Even if Steve Kerr may not be concerned with breaking the record, Curry clearly wants to, and putting up a performance like this against San Antonio’s elite defense has been a sight to behold.

Whether they break the record or not, Curry has proven that he is the best player in the league and should coast to another MVP.
