Robert Horry roasts Tracy McGrady for not having any rings (Video)

Robert Horry decided to remind Tracy McGrady that he never won a ring during ESPN’s “The Jump” on Tuesday.

No one road the coattails of superstars to NBA Championships in their career more than Robert Horry. With seven NBA Championships to his name, Horry stands near the top of history with titles won by a player. However, he was never the superstar on those teams and had the fortunate ability of playing with some greats.

Still, Horry hit some big shots in his career that helped win a couple of rings and had some memorable moments of his own. While Horry was on ESPN’s “The Jump” on Tuesday, Rachel Nichols commented on how Horry should let Tracy McGrady wear one of his championship rings.

Horry then responded that he couldn’t do that because of McGrady never won a championship. The way he said it was classic unlikable Horry. The Horry that once threw a towel in his coaches face and the Horry that once hip-checked Steve Nash into the boards come to mind.

Regardless McGrady clearly felt awkward during the whole exchange and didn’t really look too enthused about being there. McGrady came closest to winning a ring during the 2013 NBA Finals, which was his final year in the league with the San Antonio Spurs.

That was the infamous Game 6 where Kawhi Leonard missed the free throw, Ray Allen hit the three and McGrady didn’t end up going out on top and getting a ring.

It can’t get much worse than that. On the bright side, McGrady was always a better player than Horry ever was, so he has that going for him.
