NBA FanDuel Picks For April 13

I was writing these columns religiously last month. I’m going to be 40 May 1st, I’m not young but not old either. I’m a tweener. I’m getting off my couch to let my kids in after getting off the school bus. I feel a pop in my left calf. Go to the doctor the next day. Tore a calf muscle. It’s called tennis leg. I can’t remember this ever happening. I could tell you stories of me and my friends playing basketball all freaking day, from 10am until 9pm because we were losers that didn’t have jobs to go to. I’ve had a whole month to watch NCAA basketball, NBA and MLB. My columns are going to be focused on baseball soon, I’ve won money on FanDuel and want to share some tips and tricks with you. Tonight is a big night in the NBA as Golden State goes for history. Winningest regular season ever, 73 wins. Steve Kerr has every intention of letting it happen. I have to take advantage of this situation when drafting my DFS players.

My point guards: Steph Curry. Priced at 10,300 but he’s at home versus Memphis and Golden State barely beat the Grizzlies last week. Expect a big night from Curry. The other Curry, Seth is my other point guard. Priced at 6,100 and coming off a 50.1 point performance. 20 points, 15 assists and 3 steals. He’s legit and Rondo and Cousins are out.

Shooting guards: Marcus Thornton of Washington. Wall is out, Washington isn’t starting their regulars and Thornton can shoot. He’s priced at 4,000 and his last two games got 33.6 and 28. I’m taking him because my next guy, James Harden is expensive. 11,1000 on FanDuel but worth it because he doesn’t sit, won’t sit, and has a good match up versus Dallas.

My small forwards are PJ Tucker of Phoenix and Atlanta’s Kent Bazemore. Phoenix hosts the Clippers and most of LA is resting so its a scrubs game, and Tucker’s last 3 games are 37, 27.6 and 43. Bazemore has been lights out since coming off injured reserve. 36.7, 36.5 and 43.9. Atlanta will rest some guys, but not Kent. He could very easily score 40 plus this evening versus a Washington team sitting John Wall.

My power forwards are Nerlens “House Trasher” Noel of Philadelphia and my sleeper Ersan Ilyasova of Orlando. Noel’s price of 6,800 is cheap for a guy whose last 3 games had 37.5, 42.6 and 38.5. He scores, rebounds and honestly Philly stinks and has few options. He plays a lot of minutes too. Now Ilyasova has been hurt all year but always scores when he plays. Priced at 3,900 and he scorched Milwaukee for 38.7 points his last game. Expect the same versus a Charlotte team expected to rest starters.

Finally, my center. Greg Monroe of Milwaukee has had a great rookie season. He’s been consistently scoring and rebounding. Tonight he’s got a great match up versus Indiana who doesn’t have an answer for him at center. The Pacers will also rest it’s starters. Monroe, Curry and Harden could easily score us 140 points tonight. That’s exceptional for 3 guys.
