Liverpool vs. Dortmund, Europa League Quarterfinal

It was a toss up between this one and number one (you probably already know what it is). What an improbable comeback from the Reds. Down 3-1 on their own turf (after previously being down 2-0), Liverpool looked down and out. Anfield was quiet while the away fans from Germany were making a ruckus.

Liverpool needed three goals in less than thirty minutes after Marco Reus put Dortmund up 3-1 in the second half. But, like we’ve seen from Liverpool, they have a never say die mode when it matters most.

Phillipe Coutinho gave Liverpool fans something to hope for and Mamadou Sakho sparked their desire when he put Liverpool level 3-3 in the 77th minute. But Liverpool still needed one goal due to Dortmund scoring three away goals. Although Anfield was back to life, they knew they needed one more to seal the deal.

Dejan Lovren opened up the floodgates when he broke the deadlock in extra time for the Reds. The place went insane. Although it happened over an hour ago at the time of this writing, they are probably still in Anfield memorized by what they just saw.

This one will always be remember by Liverpool fans around the globe, but none more than the number one comeback in Liverpool history.
