With the NFL Draft set to get underway later this month, here is a look at the five worst draft picks in Green Bay Packers history.

As the third-oldest franchise in NFL history, the Green Bay Packers have enjoyed a plethora of success in the NFL Draft.

There were the championship teams of the 1960’s that were built almost entirely through the draft. From 1956 to 1958 alone, the organization drafted a total of five future Hall of Famers (Bart Starr, Forrest Gregg, Jim Taylor, Ray Nitschke and Paul Hornung), all of which played a crucial role in the dynasty that would be established over the course of the next decade.

Most recently under the guidance of general manager Ted Thompson, Green Bay acquired a pair of players through the draft in Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews that were driving factors behind the team’s 2010 Super Bowl championship run.

Unfortunately, not every draft pick can be a home run selection. Just like every team in the NFL, the Packers know this all too well.

Some of these picks are top-five selections that never reach their full potential at the professional level. Others, for various reasons, did not play a single down for the organization. And one draft pick in particular is regarded as one of the biggest draft busts of all-time,
