Sunderland really helped themselves to avoid relegation by defeating Norwich City on Saturday

As we near the end of the Premier League season for 2015-16, while most people are keeping their eye on the top of the table, we must not forget that there are clubs on the bottom fighting to avoid relegation. Two of those teams are Norwich City and Sunderland, two teams that actually played one another on Saturday in a huge battle.

Well, it was Sunderland who ended up coming away breathing easy, as they were able to get the three goals, the win and the three points.

Now with that win on Saturday, Sunderland is now within one point of Norwich City as they look to get themselves out of the basement before the season comes to a close.

It’s going to be an interesting last few weeks of the season, especially in regards to these two teams that battled on Saturday. Neither one can really avoid a huge slip up, something that Norwich didn’t get the memo on apparently, but Sunderland did.

Now Sunderland will look to help their case to avoid relegation even further when they take on Arsenal next Sunday, while Norwich will look to get things back on track as they face off against Watford next Sunday as well.
