Andrew Wiggins apparently has cornrows now
By Dan Favale
Andrew Wiggins just put a bow on his sophomore NBA season. There is, apparently, only one thing left for him to do now.
Get cornrows (h/t Trey Kerby of The Starters):
Is this Wiggins? Or is it a 21-year-old Carmelo Anthony? Or perhaps a Kawhi Leonard groupie? Or, less likely, a Corey Maggette groupie?
Nope, this is, in fact, Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the reigning Rookie of the Year and newest endorser of cornrows.
Captioned “Minnesota livin’,” this video portrays Minnesota livin’ to be everything you expected for Wiggins: Him shooting the breeze with peeps, while on a backyard patio of some sort, music blaring in the background, with unnecessarily dead-serious glazes washing over the faces of everyone in attendance, as they lose themselves in thought and melody and the sight of power lines, empty chairs and a half-defunct lawn.
Those cornrows, though? A complete surprise. Total curveball. Beyond unexpected.
Let’s see if Wiggins’ hairdo survives the offseason and makes an indefinite cameo to start the 2016-17 campaign.
