OT. Ole Miss. Laremy Tunsil. 3. player. 13.
The Chargers get the player that most folks have ranked at number one, and they get him without having to move up on the board. In other words, Laremy Tunsil would be the win of all wins for San Diego.

In most mock drafts floating around the internet prior to the big Titans-Rams trade, the Chargers have been focused on the defensive side of the ball. The team certainly has a need along the defensive line when it comes to generating pass rush, and with safety as a glaring need, San Diego has also been linked to Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey specifically because of his versatility.

Now, though, San Diego can actually address its biggest need.

The Chargers really, really need to protect Philip Rivers as he ages, and the team’s roster is pretty barren when it comes to offensive tackle. Tunsil isn’t the top player overall for Todd McShay, but he comes in as a strong number two, and the former Ole Miss standout is seen as incredibly safe with the possibility of becoming an All-Pro left tackle in the very near future.

San Diego could not possibly have expected to emerge from this draft with Tunsil on their roster unless it came with the surcharge of additional picks in a trade. This is basically stealing.
