Fantasy baseball streaming pitchers: April 19, 2016
1. Alex Wood-Los Angeles Dodgers
Wood barely squeaks under the threshold for my fantasy baseball streaming pitchers for this Tuesday since he is currently owned in 49.7% of ESPN leagues. Tonight, he’ll take the mound at Turner Field where he spend his first two-and-a-half seasons pitching for the Braves.
Atlanta traded him to Los Angeles in the middle of last season, and he went a total of 12-12 with a 3.84 ERA. Wood returns to Atlanta to face the Braves who are struggling badly to start this season in what should be a good matchup for the lefty.
This season, Wood has had a rough outing against the Giants to open the year, but he bounced back with a good outing at home agains the D-Backs last Wednesday. In that outing, he allowed just one run in seven innings while giving up five hits and three walks and fanning three. Wood has the best chance of my fantasy baseball streaming pitchers to get the win tonight based on the strength of his opponent. If you need a win or a solid outing, Wood is my top pick, but if you are primarily looking for strikeouts or long-term upside I would suggest grabbing Conley instead.
