3. Jimmy Nelson-Milwaukee Brewers

Nelson and the Brewers return home tonight to start hosting the second half of a home-and-home four-game interleague series against their former AL Central rivals the Twins.  The teams will meet one more time tomorrow afternoon in Milwaukee.

Tonight, Nelson will look to make his fourth straight “Quality Start” to being the season and he comes into action 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA which has caused his ownership to climb to 22.5%  in ESPN standard leagues.  Nelson has allowed exactly two runs in each of his three starts while walking five and striking out 13 in his 19.1 total innings.

He hasn’t been totally dominant, but he has been good enough to be useful for fantasy baseball owners.  He also is in a good matchup against the slow-starting Twins, and it will be his first career start against Minnesota which should give him a bit of an advantage as well.
