400-pound Baylor Bears tight end LaQuan McGowan releases the ultimate hype video in conjunction with Bleacher Report. McGowan “is too big to miss.”

At Baylor University in Waco, Texas, head football coach Art Briles does things differently with his high-octane spread offense. Baylor has been an elite football program in the Big 12 the last five years, so it’s no surprise that Briles used a 400-pound tight end named LaQuan McGowan to decimate opponents in the spread.

McGowan is featured in a can’t-miss video clip in conjunction with Bleacher Report. He says it himself in the clip that “he’s too big to miss.”

McGowan is 6’7″ to support that 400-pound frame. He claims that “once I get moving, nothing can stop me.” He went on to illustrate that his massive size at tight end doesn’t hold him back, as he ran a 5.41 40-year dash faster than many prospects 100 pounds lighter than him.

He put up 30 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. McGowan stated that his bench press numbers would have put him fifth among draft eligible offensive linemen who attended the scouting combine.

To wrap up his segment, McGowan compares himself as a cross between Vince Wilfork and Odell Beckham, Jr. While the Beckman comparison is a bit ridiculous, McGowan does resemble the fantastic defensive tackle Wilfork was in his prime for the New England Patriots. Wilfork for his 350+ pound size was one of the most athletic players in the NFL while with the Patriots.

Will McGowan get drafted despite having an absurdly large frame for an NFL tight end? If William “The Refrigerator” Perry could play on offense for the 1985 Chicago Bears, perhaps some NFL team will take a chance on the big-bodied tight end from Baylor in the 2016 NFL Draft?
