The Indiana Pacers defeated the Toronto Raptors at home in Game 4 to even their series at two games apiece.

81. Final. 100. 100. 83

Saturdays have been good to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs against the Toronto Raptors. For the second Saturday in a row, the Pacers brought the fight to the Raptors on both ends of the floor, after it looked like the Raptors were going to run away with the series with their big performances in Game 2 and Game 3 of the series.

Much like Game 1, the All-Star back court of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry struggled massively. Neither individual could find their shot on Saturday. Part of it can be credited to the hustle of the Pacers’ defense. Every time the Raptors’ guards would try to slash to the hoop, the Pacers would be there to either block them or send them to the line.

No easy hoops were to be had in this one. It was also an emotional day on the court. As these the series continued to wane on, both of these teams began to get a little chippy with each other. At one point, Jonas Valanciunas and Paul George got a little physical, which sent DeMarre Carroll off and they had to be separated.

While the Raptors struggled to score, George Hill and Ian Mahinmi led the way for the Pacers. With Paul George having carried the load in the first three games, getting key contributions from their point guard and center was a nice change of pace.

The Pacers would continue to hustle in the fourth quarter and they would pull away with the big win to tie the series at 2-2. The two teams will now meet in a pivotal Game 5 in Toronto on Tuesday night.
