The New York Islanders will look to close out the Florida Panthers in Game 6 on Sunday at the Barclays Center.

After stealing a double-overtime thriller on the road to go up 3-2 in their Eastern Conference first round playoff series, the New York Islanders will look to finish off the Florida Panthers on home ice and advance to the Conference Semifinals.

Game 6 will take place on Sunday at the Barclays Center, with puck drop time and TV coverage yet to be announced.

The Islanders won Friday’s critical Game 5 2-1 in double overtime at the BB&T Center. Alan Quine, who had a grand total of two games of NHL experience under his belt, whistled a shot past Roberto Luongo at the 16:00 mark of double overtime to put the Islanders up in the closely contested series. Frans Nielsen opened the scoring with his third goal of the playoffs late in the first.

Even in a losing effort, the Panthers played better for the majority of the night, continuing a trend from the rest of the series. Aleksander Barkov registered the only goal of the night for Florida in the third, and had a great chance to end things in the first overtime after being awarded a penalty shot.

However, the difference in the game was Thomas Greiss, who has been terrific all series long filling in for the injured Jaroslav Halak. Greiss played his best game yet with 47 saves despite facing constant pressure with his team struggling in front of him.

If Greiss plays like that again, the Panthers will be in trouble on Sunday at the Barclays Center.
