2. Robbie Ray-Arizona Diamondbacks

Ray and the Snakes face the Pirates this afternoon as they close out their three-game set at Chase Field.  Ray will look to keep his momentum going  as he has improved with each start so far this season.

All three of his starts would be considered “quality starts” since he has gone at least six innings and allowed a total of just four earned runs.  He comes into today’s game with a sparkling 1.96 ERA as a result and 17 strikeouts in his 18.1 innings.

Ray was dominant against the Giants in his last outing allowing five hits and two walks while striking out eight in six shutout innings. He doesn’t have a great lineup behind him, and he has to duel Francisco Liriano which are the only reasons why he’s not my top option today.
