I’m all in on Jack Conklin, and the Bears should join me.

Chicago’s offensive line has been brutal in the recent past, and the Kyle Long experiment at offensive tackle is not going to work long-term. While some teams are rightfully concerned that Conklin does not profile as a pure left tackle prospect, the Bears just need quality options at either tackle spot, and Conklin can pair with Bobby Massie to form a competent duo on the outside of the line.

The Bears should absolutely consider an outside rusher in the mold of Leonard Floyd or even Noah Spence, but neither player commands the pure value of Conklin. In my mind, there are very few players who are safer in this class than the former Michigan State tackle, and even if he is not a superstar at the the next level, Conklin is a “set it and forget it” player for the foreseeable future, based largely on his dominance in the running game from the tackle position.

Chicago has many holes to address, but Conklin is the best player on the board here and it shouldn’t take long to pull the trigger on him when considering the current state of this offensive line.
. OT. Michigan State. Jack Conklin. 11. player. 57
