1. Kevin Allen

Somehow, Kevin Allen had a worse NFL career than Williams. Allen was banned by the NFL for life after pleading guilty to sexual assault in 1986. Before the incident, which occurred at Margate beach, he started four games in his rookie season.

It was a disappointing rookie season, but things got worse. Allen tested positive for a banned substance during training camp in 1986, and a few months later pleaded guilty to sexual assault guilty plea.

Following the positive test for a banned substance, his head coach was not pleased. Eagles head coach Buddy Ryan said that Allen was only needed on the team “to stand around and kill the grass.” Obviously, Ryan wasn’t a fan of Allen, and the banned substance usage and his sexual assault guilty plea came to define his very brief NFL career.

The Eagles drafted Allen with the ninth pick in 1985. They could have selected Jerry Rice, who was still available at the time, but they wanted an offensive tackle to fill a need. Yet, Allen did neither and ended up being a disgrace due to his actions off the field and away from the team. Philadelphia has had a rough time selecting offensive lineman during the NFL draft. Allen is just one of the many who failed to live up to expectations in his time in Philadelphia.
