2. Marco Estrada-Toronto Blue Jays

Estrada  has an extremely high WHIP (1.44) coming into tonight’s start against the White Sox, but he has been able to work around trouble enough to make him worth a look tonight especially given his strikeout potential.

He faced Baltimore in his last start allowing ten baserunners in five innings but somehow only letting one score.  His nine strikeouts definitely helped limit the damage, and he now has a total of 20 strikeouts in his 18 innings this season. In his three starts, he is 1-1 with a no-decision and has a very solid 2.50 ERA. He struck out eight in his only home start so far this season when he threw seven shutout innings against Boston.

He’ll be back on the mound at home tonight against the Sox of a different color when Chicago looks to continue their red-hot 15-6 start to the year.  Estrada should be able to continue to get strikeouts and with the Blue Jays high-powered offense has a good shot at a win in most matchups this season.
