Gabrielle Union is angry on Twitter about ending of Game 5
Gabrielle Union is angry about the way officials handled the end of Game 5 between the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets.
The Charlotte Hornets went on the road to defeat the Miami Heat on Wednesday night, and in the process, they took a 3-2 series lead and are just one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. However, it didn’t come without a little bit of controversy.
After Goran Dragic had his shot blocked near the end of the game, Dwyane Wade grabbed the ball and went up for a shot over Spencer Hawes. It looked like Hawes moved forward and fouled Wade on the play, which wasn’t called and the Hornets were able to steal the win.
Heat players and coaches were upset with the call and felt they were robbed. One person who was really angry after the game was Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union. After the game, Union went on a Twitter rant and absolutely unloaded on the officials.
Well one thing is for sure, the two-minute report that gets handed out by the league the next day, doesn’t help but rather makes the bad officiating sting even more.
Union is clearly going to defend her husband, but she isn’t wrong and she’s very knowledgeable about the game. The evidence shows that Wade was hit a couple of times on the last play and there was no call on the floor to be made.
As a result, they are now one loss away from being eliminated and their season being over.
