NBA Playoffs: When is Heat vs. Hornets Game 6?
A look at when Heat vs. Hornets Game 6 in the 2016 NBA Playoffs will tip off
For the first four games in the Eastern Conference first round series in the 2016 NBA Playoffs between the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets, it was the home team that was victorious. The Heat ran away with each of the first two games of the series, but the paradigm shifted as they traveled to Charlotte where the Hornets got their legs underneath them on their way to tying up the series at 2-2.
Subsequently, that made Game 5 in Miami on Wednesday night all the more important. If the Heat were to continue the pattern of the series, they’d have firm control of the series and would force the Hornets to win a home-road back-to-back to advance. However, if Charlotte could buck the trend of the series, the Hornets would then be traveling back to their home floor needing just one win to knock out the Heat.
In one of the best game of the NBA Playoffs to date, the Heat and Hornets went back and forth in Game 5 with control of the contest seemingly shifting constantly. However, a crazy final minute of play and a huge Courtney Lee three in addition to a big defensive stop were enough to push the Hornets ahead and give them the 90-88 lead.
Now the series will go back to Charlotte for a crucial Game 6 as the Hornets look to win the series on their home floor. As such, fans are likely wondering when that game will take place. The good news is that the wait won’t be long. Heat vs. Hornets Game 6 will take place on Friday, April 29 at Time Warner Cable Arena. Though there’s no official tip-time yet, this one will likely be the early one of the night, tipping between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
