How could John Cena make his return to WWE?

In early January of this year, John Cena announced that he would be undergoing shoulder surgery. This came about a week after he returned from a two-month absence to film a reality show. He had faced Alberto Del Rio on the final Raw of 2015 in his one and only match back.

Through the months, the leader of the Cenation would post videos about his recovery process. He was working out days after surgery to make it back and actually returned earlier than expected. Cena would show up at WrestleMania 32 to help The Rock discard The Wyatt Family from the ring. It was rumored that the Massachusetts native would be coming back at the show, but it was never confirmed until the appearance.

After that, Cena disappeared for a few weeks. Reports started flying around that his full-time in-ring return wasn’t going to happen yet, maybe as late as July.

However, on Monday, Cena would take to Twitter to officially announce that he will be coming back to WWE Memorial Day. This will fall on Monday, May 30.

How he makes his return to programming is anyone’s guess, but one would assume that it will be in a prominent role. There are many ways to book him, so here are five possibilities for how John Cena can return to WWE TV.
