The wardrobe for Ezekiel Elliott at the NFL Draft has some meaning behind it.

The NFL Draft always features some off-the-wall wardrobes from the draftees. Some will show up in an off-color suit or tuxedo from the standard black or dark blue color. Others will try to make a fashion statement that will turn heads.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is a likely first-round pick, decided to make a fashion statement that actually had some meaning to it. He showed up on the red carpet on Thursday with a light blue crop top suit. See it to believe it.

As for why he did this, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, this is supposed to be taking a shot at the NCAA for banning Elliott for wearing a crop top in 2015.

This makes this fashion statement from Elliott a clever shot at the NCAA, which has drawn the ire of players and coaches for years. They have made some questionable rules for the players on the field, so this is Elliott finally being able to step out of the NCAA’s control and doing his own thing. Taking a shot at the NCAA while millions are watching this isn’t bad either and will definitely get people talking about this.
