The Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets with ease, to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

Final. 114. 41. 81. 169

Once again, the Golden State Warriors had no issue finishing off the Houston Rockets without Stephen Curry.

Shaun Livingston stepped up masterfully and Klay Thompson let his star continue to shine in a blowout victory over the Rockets in Game 5, as the Warriors officially eliminated the Rockets and punched their ticket to the Western Conference Semifinals.

It wasn’t even much of a fight from the beginning, as the Warriors quickly jumped out to a double-digit point lead on Houston. At halftime, James Harden had 22 of the Rockets’ points, while the rest of the team struggled to score at all.

In the third quarter, Thompson, Draymond Green and Livingston put the finishing touches on the series, as Thompson continued to unload from the arc. He would finish 7-11 from deep and the Warriors lead had risen over 30 points.

The bench would unload for the Warriors in the fourth quarter and the starters got to sit back and enjoy watching their bench finish off Houston. For the Rockets, it was a disappointing end to a disappointing year and they have plenty of questions ahead.

The Warriors will now move onto the Western Conference Semifinals and await the winner of the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers.
