High Value SF

Joe Johnson-Miami Heat (4,800): The Heat brought in Joe Johnson just for times like this, and after a slow start to the series, he has stepped up in the last two games for Miami.  In Game 4, Johnson turned in his best game of the series with 16 points, seven rebounds, and 27.4 fantasy points. He followed that up with another solid overall game with 13 points, five boards, three assists, and two steals for 26.5 fantasy points in Game 5. Johnson is playing big minutes for Miami and is a good bet to get over 25 fantasy points again tonight which would be a solid return for his sub-5K salary.

DeMarre Carroll-Toronto Raptors (4,500): Carroll didn’t have a good game in Game 5 struggling to defend Paul George and only ending up with 12.6 fantasy points on five points, three boards, and two steals. In his previous two games, he had 19.2 fantasy points and 25 fantasy points as he continues to play his way back to 100% after missing most of the season due to injury.  Carroll is much higher-risk than Johnson, but I wouldn’t go any cheaper at SF than Carroll in a very thin SF pool tonight.
