The first quarter between the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks Game 6 matchup was a rather slow. Both teams ranked top-5 in the league in terms of Defensive Efficiency, and that showed in this series.

The Celtics shot a meager 21.9 percent from downtown in the elimination game, but one of the seven threes was a beauty.

Late in the first quarter, Isaiah Thomas dribbled the ball up the right side of the court, with Hawks guard Dennis Schröder guarding him. Thomas pulled up on the wing right in Dennis’ face, and the shot sailed toward the basket. The ball hit the side of the hoop, rolled around the basket and sat on the back of the rim for an moment before dropping.
