New Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott once savaged Tony Romo on Twitter for not being a good quarterback.

Dak Prescott had an interesting weekend, as he went from the best player in the history of Mississippi State to the potential future star of the Dallas Cowboys offense.

The Cowboys drafted Prescott in the fourth round of this weekend’s NFL Draft, but it’s not the first time he’s crossed paths with the team nor his new mentor Tony Romo.

Back in 2012, after the Cowboys lost to the Redskins in Week 17 to miss the playoffs, Dak went at Romo on Twitter.

To Dak’s credit, Romo did throw three interceptions in the 28-18 loss that allowed a rookie Robert Griffin III to take his team to the postseason. But the best part about this isn’t that Dak savaged Romo on Twitter back in 2012 but that little did he know at the time that four years in the future his NFL livelihood would rely on the tutelage of Romo.

While this is an interesting look inside the mind of Cowboys fans, Dak’s best chance at ever being anything in the NFL rests on how much he can learn from the man he roasted on Twitter four years ago.

What goes around, right?
