Eagles fans are already booing Carson Wentz (Video)

Carson Wentz received a Philly welcome from Eagles fans as they booed him when he arrived in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Eagles traded all the way to the second overall pick to take one of the top two quarterbacks in the 2016 NFL Draft. Since the Los Angeles Rams drafted Jared Goff with the first overall pick, that left the Eagles with quarterback Carson Wentz of North Dakota State.

Most fans would receive him happily and at least make Wentz feel wanted. But as we all know, Eagles fans are not “most fans”. Eagles fans booed Wentz as he arrived in Philadelphia after he was restricted from signing autographs.

On the bright side, at least Wentz now knows what to expect from fans from here on out. Also, would they boo him if they didn’t care about him? Hopefully Wentz can turn those Philly boos into cheers, but that’s something that a lot of Philadelphia athletes have struggled to do over the years.

Wentz will likely be the third string quarterback behind Sam Bradford (assuming they don’t trade him) and Chase Daniel. Considering that Wentz is not immediately ready for an NFL starting job, that’s a good thing for him. Hopefully he’ll win over Eagles fans when all is said and done.
