A look at the 2016 NFL Draft picks that were made this weekend by the New York Giants

The New York Giants will be entering the 2016 NFL season with a new head coach in the form of Ben McAdoo, and after this weekend, they’ll be entering it with some fresh young talent as well. That of course is because the 2016 NFL Draft took place this weekend.

Here’s a look at who the Giants and new coach McAdoo selected in the 2016 NFL Draft this weekend.

  • Round 1 (10) – Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State
  • Round 2 (9) – Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma
  • Round 3 (8) – Darian Thompson, S, Boise State
  • Round 4 (11) – B.J. Goodson, LB, Clemson
  • Round 5 (10) – Paul Perkins, RB, UCLA
  • Round 6 (9) – Jerell Adams, TE, South Carolina

We’ve all known that the Giants could certainly use some immediate help in the secondary, and they went out and got just that right off the bat with the selection of Apple. he was tremendous for those great Ohio State teams and he might be able to provide that to New York.

Then there’s the selection of Shepard, which could end up being very scary for defenses. You’re now pairing him alongside Odell Beckham Jr., so that’s just something else for defenses in the NFC East to worry about this coming season and beyond.

What do you think of the Giants’ picks?
