Hassan Whiteside was a huge difference maker in the Miami Heat’s Game 7 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. Here are some of his best highlights.

The Miami Heat cruised in the win-or-go-home Game 7 matchup with the Southeast Division rival Charlotte Hornets, 106-73. Miami held a commanding lead for the entire game, as the Heat will await the winner of Sunday night’s Game 7 between the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers for their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup.

Though Miami played terrific basketball in their blowout victory of the Hornets, one player on the Heat that really had a great game was center Hassan Whiteside. Charlotte had no answer for his unique brand of athleticism in the low post, as Whiteside threw down many great dunks and rejected so many Hornets’ shot attempts with his impressive rim protection skills.

Whiteside finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks in 27:59 minutes of action in Game 7’s blowout. Whiteside and the rest of the Heat starters were pulled from the game by head coach Erik Spoelstra once the game was sealed in the early part of the fourth quarter. White had an outstanding plus/minus of +22 and 50.0% from the field in his great game for the Heat on Sunday afternoon down in South Beach.

Though Goran Dragic sparked Miami’s efforts in their blowout with 25 points of his own, it was Whiteside’s energy he brought above the rim that decimated any hopes of a Hornets’ road victory in American Airlines Arena on Sunday afternoon.
