The Hawks‘ Twitter account gave themselves the ‘Crying Jordan’ meme after they got blown out in the first half against the Cavaliers.

The Atlanta Hawks’ defense was non-existent against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first half of Game 2 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs on Wednesday night. In fact, the Hawks’ defense was so bad, that they gave up an NBA record 18 first-half three-point field goals to the Cavaliers, who couldn’t miss from beyond the arc.

Even worse for Atlanta, as the Cavaliers were shooting lights out from deep, the Hawks were struggling on offense and couldn’t get anything going. At the end of the first half, the Hawks found themselves down 36 points and things clearly were not coming up Atlanta’s way.

Rather than getting down about the absolute beating that they were receiving, the Hawks’ Twitter decided to not wait around for anyone else and gave themselves the “Crying Jordan” meme.

Sometimes it’s better to just laugh with everyone else, because at this point, there’s just nothing the Hawks can do about the Cavaliers’ offense.

The good news for the Hawks is that the series will now head back to their place. If Atlanta keeps giving Cleveland room to shoot, then this series will end in Atlanta.
