The Phillies and Cardinals start the MLB schedule early this Thursday with a 1:45 ET game, but the rest of the 11 games today are all scheduled to be under the lights tonight. You can find this post every morning here at Fancied listing the top five scheduled starters who are available in over 50% of ESPN leagues. I’ve included their ownership level in ESPN leagues in parentheses after their name at the top of each slide. These pitchers are available on waiver wire in most season-long leagues and usually don’t have high salaries in daily fantasy baseball competitions. I think they can step up and produce solid outings given their current form, opponent, and potential to put together solid numbers. Each morning, you can find these “best available” starting pitchers on our FanSided fantasy baseball hub.
Yesterday, my top 5 fantasy baseball streaming pitchers were split down the middle going 2-2 with a no-decision. My top option, Tyler Chatwood (pictured above) was excellent throwing eight shutout innings against the Padres and picking up the win while three of the other four starts I listed turned in quality starts with the one exception being the still-struggling Alex Wood. Overall, my 5 picks yesterday went 2-2 with a 3.61 ERA, a 1.019 WHIP, and a 8.61 K/9. Since I started this post a couple of weeks ago my 85 selections are a combined 31-31 with a 4.23 ERA, a 1.303 WHIP, and 7.57 K/9.
If you want to discuss your fantasy baseball streaming pitchers, other waiver wire pickups, offer alternative options, or let me know how our fantasy baseball coverage can be more of a help to you, find me throughout the day @FansidedFantasy on Twitter. In the coming weeks as the NBA playoffs start to slow down, we’ll be able to expand our daily league fantasy baseball coverage, so stay tuned.
It’s time to get started with today’s top five fantasy baseball streaming pitchers starting with a veteran option that may be strung to turn things around for his new tea.
