The Thunder absolutely destroyed the Spurs in Game 6 and Twitter had plenty of thoughts on the events of the night

After a tightly contested and wildly exciting Game 5 between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder that saw the latter take a 3-2 lead in the series, many wondered what would be in store for both teams in Game 6 as the Spurs faced elimination going on the road to Oklahoma City.

Apparently what the Spurs should have looked out for was a tremendous amount of pain.

Right from the opening tip, the Thunder were ready to put a hurting on the visiting Spurs. They jumped out to an early lead in the contest after the first quarter, but then starting pouring it on in a major, major way in the second quarter. They went into halftime up by 24 points and, save for a brief show of life from the Spurs, never faltered from there.

Obviously, this got fans buzzing all over the world on Twitter giving the shocking result.

Here are the many things that Thunder and Spurs fans alike had to say about the blowout in Game 6:

Of course, every good defeat has to get the Crying Jordan meme.

It’s certainly a different sight to see the Spurs getting beat in the NBA Playoffs this badly, but fans have long wondered what a healthy Thunder team with Westbrook and Durant would be able to do in the postseason. I guess we know now and it doesn’t work out well for the Spurs.
