BAE Index, 5/16/2016: We The Fourth
Red Ross
Terrence Ross has made Dwane Casey look like a genius a few times in the postseason. And he came up big when it mattered most.
Ross routinely got by Dwyane Wade early in this game, and gave the Raptors the start they needed.
Kyle in His Shoes
It’s no secret that Kyle Lowry hasn’t had great success in the playoffs. It’s been dissected by every NBA analyst and pseudo-analyst in the world.
But the beautiful thing about basketball is that one or two games can rewrite history. Lowry struggled mightily in the playoffs, until he didn’t.
Lowry poured in 35 points in Game 7, and that, my friends, is a new playoff legacy.
Return of the Bismack
Bismack Biyombo personifies the Raptors. He was cast aside as someone who would never live up to his talent, and forgotten about by most of the league. But, now, people are taking note.
Biyombo dunking every time he touched the ball helped mitigate the loss of Jonas Valanciunas, and helped the Raptors to their most successful season in franchise history. Now, it’s onto Cleveland.
