Tigers’ manager Brad Ausmus absolutely lost it at the home plate umpire on Monday, ending his night early.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the Detroit Tigers. Even more so, it’s been tough on manager Brad Ausmus who has heard about his lack of job security non-stop since the end of last season.

Over the offseason, it was leaked that he was going to be let go, but new general manager Al Avila decided to give him another chance, keeping him on for the 2016 season despite finishing last in the AL Central during the disappointing 2015 campaign.

Everyone has been knocking Ausmus for his lack of fire this season. After starting the year 14-10, the Tigers lost 11-of-13 games to drop to 16-21 heading into Monday night’s game against the lowly Minnesota Twins.

Putting up an eight-spot in the first inning, the game looked to be in hand for Detroit and the two-week slump was finally in the past. However, Minnesota rallied to cut the lead to one and Ausmus was just about fed up with balls and strikes not going his way.

In the middle innings, Nick Castellanos struck out on a questionable call and Ausmus came to the rescue. He exploded on the home plate umpire, only to get ejected shortly after. The audio was caught, luckily for viewers.

Note: There is some NSFW language here by Ausmus.

The rest of Ausmus’ tirade wasn’t caught by cameras, but he also draped his sweatshirt over home plate and tossed his hat toward the ump on his way off the field.

Many Tigers fans like the passion. Will it save his job, though?
