The 76ers won the 2016 NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday night and the internet reacted accordingly

While the NBA Draft is certainly quite the event in itself, there’s not a question that there are a lot of people that look forward to the NBA Draft Lottery just as much — if not more in some cases. There really is no event surrounded by a bunch of ping pong balls that draws more interest than the NBA Draft Lottery each and every year.

Well, Tuesday night, it was time to find out what the early draft order will be in the draft that will be coming up next month. This year there are a lot of prospects drawing some interest, including Ben Simmons out of LSU who many people have actually been comparing to none other than LeBron James. Then there’s Brandon Ingram out of Duke, who some think could maybe even take the top spot from Simmons.

So to say that the top of the order has a lot of eyes on it this year would be an understatement.

When all was said and done and the ping pong balls were drawn, it was the Philadelphia 76ers that came away with the No. 1 pick, with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics behind them respectively.
