If any team in the NBA wants a re-do for their first round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, it has to be the Charlotte Hornets. Frank Kaminsky was a reach at best for a top 10 pick in the draft and seems to lack the lateral quickness to be an effective low post defender.

While this re-draft pick still doesn’t seem like a better solution in the front court for the Hornets, if somebody is going to take Jahlil Okafor out of Duke, why would it not be Charlotte?

Yes, owner Michael Jordan may have some resentment for Duke players, but getting an offensive threat as potentially as Okafor at No. 9 would be an absolute steal. Charlotte has the coaching staff with head coach Steve Clifford and top assistant Patrick Ewing to make Okafor a better player than what he displayed in 2015-16 with the lowly 76ers.

While Okafor is more of an offensive-minded big man, Charlotte does have a strong culture of defense and the pairing could have proven mutually beneficial. Though Charlotte was insanely high on Kaminsky coming out of Wisconsin, had Okafor fallen into their laps at No. 9, there is no doubt that the one-and-done from Duke would be a key piece in the Queen City wearing Teal and Purple.
