The Toronto Raptors showed some fight and defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

156. Final. 85. 81. 75

After being blown  out in the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Toronto Raptors finally proved that they had a little fight in them.

Being back at home was a clear advantage for the Raptors and they were able to jump out to a big lead early on the Cavaliers. While the team struggled defensively to start, Bismack Biyombo was an absolute anchor in the post.

Biyombo was everywhere on the floor and he was grabbing any basketball that came in his sight. Kyle Lowry would head to the bench early, but DeMar DeRozan would pick him up and would hit big shots early.

The Cavaliers meanwhile could not hit their shots and stop Biyombo, who was feeding off the energy of the home crowd. The moment that will stick out from this game came late in the second half, when a scrum would break loose on the floor and James would get hit in the face.

In the second half of the game, it looked like the Cavaliers would make a comeback and the team got within five points. However, the Raptors wouldn’t let them get back in it and fed off the energy of their crowd.

Biyombo would continue to set the tone and after a huge dunk, it was clear that the Raptors were finally going to win a game in the Eastern Conference Finals.
