Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dahntay Jones has been suspended one game for hitting Toronto Raptors center Bismack Biyombo in the groin.

The Toronto Raptors finally showed a little fight on Saturday night, and were able to win Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. As the capacity crowd in the red hot Air Canada Centre began to celebrate as the clock ran out, there was a strange moment on the floor, as Raptors center Bismack Biyombo was hunched over in pain.

Replays quickly showed that it looked like Biyombo had taken a shot to the groin from Cavaliers reserve guard Dahntay Jones. After careful review, it’s clear that the league determined it to be intentional on the part of Jones and therefore, they have decided to suspend him for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

It was clear that Jones was on the floor trying to get one last parting shot in on the Raptors center and wanted to make his presence felt on the floor. This isn’t the first time that Jones has been involved in a situation like this, so it’s not surprising in the least that the league has stepped in and suspended him.

While it’s not a big blow for the Cavaliers, as Jones only comes in when the game is out of hand, they probably won’t be trying to sneak in any more low blows anymore.
