NBA Playoffs: Cavaliers vs. Raptors Game 4 recap, full highlights
The Toronto Raptors held off the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
For the first two-and-a-half quarters on Monday night, Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals looked exactly like Game 3.
The Toronto Raptors once again came out with a ton of energy and were feeding off the energy of the Air Canada Centre. Bismack Biyombo was a beast on the glass on the inside and the Cavaliers couldn’t get anything going.
After the Cavaliers did a great job inside earlier in the series, they were taking bad shots outside and it caused the Raptors to once again build a double-digit lead. It looked like the Raptors were going to win via blowout fashion again.
Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan each had over 30 points and the Raptors were getting production across the board.
However, the Cavaliers began to finally find their stroke on the floor and by inserting Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye on the floor, LeBron James had some players stepping up big for him.
After relying on big shots, the likes of James and Kyrie Irving began driving the lane, which opened up everything for everyone else. Late in the fourth quarter, the Cavaliers would finally take the lead back.
With minutes remaining, the Cavaliers and Raptors would trade the lead back and forth with each other. The Raptors would finally extend their lead back to four with a minute remaining and grab a huge offensive board.
Lowry would hit a huge layup and the Raptors were up six with 22 seconds remaining. Toronto would hold on and tie the Eastern Conference Finals at two games apiece.
