Johnny Manziel continues to make headlines for the wrong reasons as he is now being investigated by the NFL for his involvement in an April car crash

For anyone still under the belief that former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel can turn it around, he sure is making it hard on you. The former first round pick is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons, as word has broken that the NFL is looking into an April car crash in which Johnny Football was involved.

Per TMZ, Manziel was a passenger in a leased Mercedes which struck a pole after a night of partying in April. He and the driver split the scene and left the car behind.

The owner of the vehicle claims that $90,000 worth of damage was done to the insanely expensive car and that Manziel promised to buy him a new vehicle for the damages. After the out of work quarterback failed to make good on his deal, the owner turned to the NFL for help.

Although Manziel has no current team, the league could still levy a suspension, making it even harder for a potential return. Also, sources at TMZ say that the league is looking into this wreck as a part of a bigger issue involving the troubled Manziel.

It’s been a sad offseason for the once highly touted player, who has been released by the Browns and fired by two agents this offseason. Recently pictures have emerged showing Manziel in a frail state as well, as he looks as though the non-stop partying is taking it’s toll on his body.

While he is showing no sign of making a true comeback attempt, the more important hope is that Manziel can get his act together before he hurts himself, or someone else.
