Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams was asked the creepiest question ever after Game 3’s blowout of the Golden State Warriors.

It was on everyone’s mind, but who thought somebody would have the cojones to ask Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams about his after Oklahoma City’s crushing Game 3 victory over the Golden State Warriors?

Adams was on the wrong end of a between-the-legs kick from Golden State power forward Draymond Green near the six-minute mark of the second quarter. While Adams promptly fell to his knees after the low blow, Oklahoma City destroyed Green’s Warriors from then on out.

After the game, one reporter got straight to the point, asking Adams, “How are your nuts?” Adams response was equally blunt. “They’re still there,” he said, before letting out a groan to express how awful the kick was.

Green’s kick to Adams’ groin came as a surprise. Many in the Chesapeake Energy Center in Downtown Oklahoma City didn’t see the kick when it happened, as Golden State center Andrew Bogut shielded the incident.

Adams and fellow Oklahoma City ‘Stache Brother, power forward Enes Kanter, have been a huge reason for the Thunder’s development into a legitimate championship contender in these NBA Playoffs. Both Thunder big men have found ways to overcome the bullying tactics of Green in the low post.

The kick may have limited Adams’ overall effectiveness in the game, but it absolutely ignited the Thunder in a pivotal Game 3. Green stunk while Adams’ teammates, small forward Kevin Durant and point guard Russell Westbrook, totaled over 30 points a piece in this home blowout.

The Adams/Green incident was the defining moment of Game 3 of the 2016 Western Conference Finals. While Adams has to be ecstatic about taking a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 at Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, what was worse: the kick itself or the painfully awkward question?
