Joe Mikulik, manager of the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders, threw the tantrum of all tantrums at the end of a minor league baseball game.

Chances are you’ve never heard of Joe Mikulik. A minor league baseball manager usually doesn’t garner much publicity outside of the world of professional baseball, and even within the MLB’s extensive farm system it’s likely that most Double-A skippers remain fairly anonymous in the public sphere.

Maybe Mikulik is trying to change all that. Or maybe he just really needs to check in to some anger management classes.

The 52-year-old, a former minor league baseball player himself, has achieved some level of notoriety over the years, but not exactly for the success his teams have had – rather, Mikulik has made headlines for his fiery, over-the-top tirades at the end of games that don’t go his way.

Some might say he’s a poor loser. Others will praise him for bringing media attention to an area of baseball that hardly ever receives any coverage. Either way, though, Mikulik is at it again – this time sliding repeatedly into second base to demonstrate what he thought should have been the proper call before finally lifting the base bag into the air and punting it with his foot as he walked off the field in disgust.

Needless to say, the umpires ejected him, as they always do.

And believe it or not, this isn’t the first time a Mikulik tirade has involved a base as a prop, nor is it the first time he’s felt the need to act out a slide to prove his point. Mikulik is also famous for removing his jersey on the field at the end of a game in 2014.
