The 2016 College World Series will be coming up this summer, but when exactly will the festivities be getting underway?

There are a lot of sporting events in the summer to look forward to, but without a doubt one of the ones that people look forward to each and every year is the College World Series. Every year, the best college baseball teams from the country get together and battle it out for the right to call themselves the best in the land, and in the end, one program can do exactly that.

Now, unfortunately, college baseball doesn’t get quite the recognition that its football and basketball brethren do, so people are generally unaware of when the College World Series actually gets started. For the most part, there are a lot of fans out there that only watch college baseball when the College World Series rolls around.

So with that said, when exactly will the College World Series be getting started here in 2016? Well, after the Regionals and Super Regionals are in the books, the survivors will meet in Omaha beginning on June 18, with the Opening Ceremonies actually taking place on June 17. From there, depending on whether or not the final series goes three games, it will run through either June 28 or June 29. Again, that all depends on how long the championship series will run.

So, if you like to watch the College World Series to see who the national champions of college baseball will be, that’s when you can do just that!
