Sky Sports is reporting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been offered $78 million over two years to play in China.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been offered quite the luxurious contract to play in China. The Swedish striker’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of the current season, and as a result is eligible to join any club on the planet as a free agent.

While he claims that he has decided where he will play next, he has yet to reveal it.

“It’s not a difficult choice, I know what I want,” he said, via ESPN FC. The future is already written. I have made my choice.”

There has been a plethora of speculation that he will end up at Manchester United next, nothing has been confirmed yet. It would be impossible for the Red Devils to match the astounding $39 million a season that China has offered, but it is unlikely that Ibrahimovic will be moving to Asia anytime soon.

The 34-year-old has won significant trophies in Italy, Spain, France, and Holland, but has never plied his trade in the English Premier League. With Jose Mourinho likely to take over for Louis van Gaal, it is entirely plausible that the striker will be playing at Old Trafford next season.

There was also speculation that Ibrahimovic could end up in North America playing in Major League Soccer, but that is also looking increasingly unlikely. The Swedish international has yet to win Europe’s most prestigious club competition- the UEFA Champions League- which could be why he elects to stay on the continent.
