Jorge Soler crushed a baseball on Friday so badly that it probably put a dent in the scoreboard

So far early on this baseball season, we’ve actually seen some impressive home runs, signaling that some serious power is returning to the game. Well, thanks to the Cubs’ Jorge Soler, we have even more evidence of this as of Friday afternoon.

The Cubs were taking on the Philadelphia Phillies and in the bottom of the fourth inning with the game all tied up at 1, Soler connected with a ball that he launched so far and with so much power that it ended up hitting the video board in the outfield.

Now that is the definition of a “BOMB” and you can’t help but be impressed when you watch someone just tee off on a baseball like that.

For as impressive as it was, though, you’re probably wondering just how far the ball went. Of course, when it comes to long home runs, everyone wants the official number of just how far it traveled.

Well, according to Statcast, that home run right there traveled 461 feet, which really makes it seem all the more impressive when you hear that figure.

Just another highlight you can add to the amazing season that the Cubs are having.
