Kyrie Irving hoists up a ridiculous shot attempt from three-quarters court and it goes in, just a tad late after the third quarter buzzer had sounded.

With seemingly everything going in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ favor in series clinching Game 6 versus the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre on Friday night, Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving hoists up an insane three-quarters court shot attempt as time expired in the third frame.

While it didn’t beat the third quarter buzzer in Game 6, the Irving three-quarters court heave somehow managed to bounce of the backboard and go in for the All-Star point guard out of Duke University.

Up 86 to 74 with 0.7 seconds remaining in the third quarter of Game 6, Irving dribbles close to the free throw line at the Raptors’ end of the floor to get some distance from Toronto power forward James Johnson before his improbable heave.

Irving simply ran out of time before essentially chest passing the ball over 70 feet through the air, off the backboard, and ultimately through the hoop at the other end of the floor. Though it did not count, Irving’s three-quarters of the court shot attempt as time expired solidified that the Cavaliers were almost certainly going to win the Eastern Conference for the second year in a row.

The Raptors put up an admirable fight in the Eastern Conference Finals, but with an all-time great superstar like LeBron James playing for Cleveland, it was just too much for the strong Toronto team to handle.
