Looking at the betting odd and lines for the 2016 Champions League Final between Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid

There has been so much anticipation building up to the 2016 Champions League Final for a number of reasons. For one, the tournament leading to this point was one of the best and most thrilling in recent memory—not to mention it also being one of the most shocking in regards to results. Now it will all be settled in Milan, Italy on Saturday between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

In a pseudo-Madrid Derby with the stakes being higher than they are in the La Liga season, you know that the tensions are going to be high between these two teams. Moreover, you know that there is going to be the narrative that always exists between the two clubs, Champions League Final or not. Real Madrid are the deep-pocketed big brother while Atletico is the underdog little brother. Whether that’s true or not, it’s the perception as a whole.

With that in mind, though, you have to wonder what the oddsmakers have to say about this matchup in the Champions League Final. Sure, Real Madrid may be “big brother,” but Atletico drew and defeated in their two La Liga matchups with Real this season.

However, the betting odds still favor Real Madrid heading into the Champions League Final. According to the odds at SkyBet, Real Madrid are 6/4 favorites to win while a draw is getting 2/1 odds. Atletico is in the rear as the underdog, getting only 23/10 odds to win.

The underdog narrative is only being strengthened for Atletico here. Now we’ll have to see if they can see it through to a victory in the Champions League Final or if they’ll succumb to “big brother” Real.
