According to a report, the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks are discussing a deal that would swap Nerlens Noel for Jeff Teague.

With the NBA season almost over and the draft weeks away and free agency less than a month away as well, the rumors are picking up steam and it appears that the first trade rumor of the season is about to go down.

According to Shams Charania, sources are telling The Vertical that the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers are discussing a deal that would send Jeff Teague to the 76ers and Nerlens Noel to the Hawks.

This is a deal that would make sense for both sides, as the 76ers need to ship out a big man with the depth of players they have front. The Hawks had long been rumored to eventually move Jeff Teague with the emergence of Dennis Schroder, which is why if this move goes down, it shouldn’t be surprise to anyone.

The 76ers needed a guard, but the question remains whether or not they can get more value for Noel in return. If the Hawks do indeed acquire Noel, then that could be a strong signal that Al Horford will be leaving in free agency.

This is the first of many rumors that will be going down and it is a big one.
